Q: What can Who Stole My Money do for me?

Q: Is my personal information secure?

A: Absolutely! We regard security as the absolute highest priority. All accounts are protected using 128bit SSL encryption (same as online banking). Your passwords are not readable by anyone (not even our staff) and we do not store your bank details. Furthermore, we've gone the extra mile to ensure your privacy! Your personal details and your transactions are completely separate. Your names and email addresses are encrypted and only your login name is viewable. This means no-one will have access to your information or find out who you are if you don't want them to. We will never sell or disclose your email addresses or personal information to any third party (unless it's required by authorities concerning breaching of laws). We provide credit card payment facility through DPS (Direct Payment Solutions), this means no credit card details are stored in our system. DPS is an established leading NZ company with a best practice system for payment processing. Their service is used by many major organisations such as Air NZ, BNZ, Westpac Bank, Fonterra etc.


Q: I hate spreadsheets and typing and calculations, how easy is this to use?

A: You can be up and running in minutes. Here are the only 3 things that you will need to do: 1. Tell the system what your budget dates are (The day you get paid and how often) 2. Upload your csv. file that you downloaded from your bank 3. Assign your transactions to a category. (The system will learn so the next time you won't have to!) We also have a comprehensive range of support options including Live Support chat on the spot. So if you ever come across any issues, please let us know.


Q: How is the program accessed, do I need to download, can I use it with my Operating System?

A: Who Stole My Money is an online application, and no downloading is required. This means that, it will not take up your computer's disk space or its processing power and you can use it anywhere at any time with a computer and internet connection. All Operating Systems are supported by Who Stole My Money. For PC users, we recommend Internet Explorer 6 or above; for Macintosh users, we recommend Firefox. Many of the exciting features that are provided can only be made possible through an online application; therefore, we currently do not provide a downloadable version.


Q: Where is my data stored, can it be lost?

A: Our website and database is stored and run in a professional data centre located in Northcote Point, Auckland. The data centre itself is security gated with all necessary measures to ensure connectivity, power continuation in emergencies etc. Our database is backed-up automatically each night which means you will not loose your data. Because of the quality commercial facility, equipment and data management process, your data is more secure and stable than it would be on any personal computer. Q: Can you support my bank?

A: Absolutely! All banks (sometimes even different accounts within the same bank) use different formats which makes this task very tricky for us. We currently support the majority of UK banks including HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, Halifax, Lloyds TSB, NatWest, Barclays, Abbey etc. If your bank or account type is not currently supported, please let us know and we will enable it for you within 1 working day. We will also give you an extra 3 Months Premium Membership as a thankyou for helping us support a new bank account format.
