and Conditions. Account Privacy
WSMM is designed from day one to be completely private and safe for its users. All information that can be used to identify users are separated out from user's transactions and encrypted. The only person who can access both sets of information is you. Your identity is completely anonymous in the system.
Account Security
Access
to your account is controlled by user's login Name and password.
Your passwords are protected by 1 way encryption. This means that no one,
including our staff can see or access them. You
are responsible for all actions taken with your login name, email address and
password, including fees. Therefore
we strongly recommend you not to disclose your WSMM account details (including
password) to any third parties. If
you choose to share your login name, email address and password or your
information with third parties to provide you additional services, you are
responsible for all actions taken with this information and therefore you should
review that third party's privacy policy. Banking and Credit Card Security
No banking or credit card information is stored in our system. When the system receives your transactions, it first strips out any information that is irrelevant for analysing your finances before inputting them into the database. That is, your bank account and credit card number, your bank balances are all stripped out. The only information that's imported is the date, amount and description of a transaction. We provide credit card payment facility through DPS (Direct Payment Solutions), this means no credit card details are stored in our system. DPS is an established leading NZ company with a best practice system for payment processing. Their service is used by many major organisations such as Air NZ, BNZ, Westpac, Auckland City Council, Fonterra, Genesis Energy, etc.
Email
Who
Stole My Money may send a newsletter to its members advising of new features,
promotions and other important announcement.
Newsletters will contain clear and obvious instructions for how the
member can remove himself or herself from that mailing list.
It is our policy to immediately remove any member from any mailing list
upon the member's request. We
do use email as a means of receiving feedback from our members, and we encourage
you to email
us with your questions or comments. Membership Registration
Our
site's registration form requires you to provide us contact information and may
also require demographic information. We
may use your contact information from the registration form to send you
information about our company and promotional material from some of our
affiliated partners. Your contact information is also used to contact you when
necessary. Membership Removal
If
you wish to have your registration removed from our directory for any reason,
simply send us an email requesting to be removed. Session Caching
Any
pages you visit during your secure session will be removed from the browser's
cache when the logout button is selected. This
will ensure subsequent users of the computer will be unable to view any of your
personal and/or account detail by, for example, selecting the browser back
button or when they search the contents of the computer's hard-drive. Session Timeout
Your
session to WSMM will time-out if you have not been using your PC for a extended
period of time. This will prevent
any unauthorised user getting access if you accidentally leave your computer
while signed-in. Use of your information
WSMM
does not sell or rent your personal identification to third parties. We
release account and other personal information only when we believe release is
appropriate to comply with law; enforce or apply our terms and conditions; or
protect the rights, property, or safety of WSMM, our users, or others. Other information we collect
We
use additional information to do internal research on our users' demographics,
interests, and behaviour to better understand and serve you and our community.
This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL
is on our site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our
site or not), what browser you are using, and your IP address. Users
who login have their IP addresses recorded. This information can be used to
track users who abuse the WSMM system and will be only be provided to legal
authorities in cases of suspected fraud. IP
addresses can be used, in conjunction with an Internet Service Provider, to find
the dial-in account of a user and, ultimately, further information to identify a
user. This information is stored
securely and will not be provided to other members or non-authorised parties. If
you choose to post messages in our community areas or leave feedback for us, we
will collect that information you provide to us. If
you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other
users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings
on the Site, we may collect such information into a file specific to you. Updates to our information practices
